hay everybody today was awesome i went back to gym today and everything went well. theres a new coach from Russia and i love him. Hes so nice and helpful and stuff. And of vourse i loved my art class. I didnt a city scape of NYC. it came out great :) i put a sunset in it too, just to be fancy. Then i got to pick up my ceramic peice i made at Color me Mine. It came out perfect I loved it :) I think today was a very good day for me. A lot went right and a lot was awesome
tomorrow i hav gym and a flute lesson. Its gunna b good dont worry. Im excited for my new summer life!!!!!!!!

Nerves of Steel

hay everybody nerves r up in the air today because gym is starting up again today and i havent been there in 10 days, thats a lot. plus for the first week i am back my coach isnt going to b there shes on vaca. So itll b tricky. GTG now more l8er

Vaca

Hiya, im at my cousins beach house in Point Lookout. It's warm here and we went to the beach and on a bike ride. I didnt go into the ocean water beacuse it was way too cold. My cousins, Steve, Evie, and Carissa and my parents didnt go in either. We're getting ready for dinner now.
After yesterday's endoscopy i feel remotly better. I had a fever last night, and almost went to the ER, but i dint and im OK now.
I gotta comment a few days ago saying that they like it wen i do the randome powerpoints, so by popular demand, here it is.

NYC

Hay sorry for no new posts lately. Nothing interesting, untill yesterday. Yesterday my family and my grandmother went in NYC for lunch, a show, and dinner. It was amazing!!!!!! The lunch was good, then we saw the Addams Family on Broadway. It was so funny. The act they put on was about Wednesday falling in love with a boy from Ohio. Two completely different famies come together for what was supposed to be "normal" dinner. It never turned out so normal, but it was an awesome show. I'd highly recomend it. I also got a tee shirt that say I don't have a sunny disposition with a picture of Wednesday on it. After the show we went out to dinner, once again amazing. That's it for now. Keep commenting!!

Summer news

Summer at last. No more school, just vacation. So far, nothing special has happened. Except for next week. On Wednesday we're going into the city for lunch, a show, and dinner. It will be fun.
Other than that nothing extraordinary has happend. One short, quick post and I'm off.

Final Curtain Call

Finally it's the last day of school. At Washinton it's moving up day. The first, second, third and fourth graders will find out their new teachers. As for the fifth graders, they go out onto the field to play a special game. All will be fun!!
As the writer of this blog, I just want to thank Mrs.Burke for a wonderful year, and for helping me create this blog. Without her I'd never have this blog and many other life lessons. She's been with me and helped a lot of the past 10 or so months. She has done so much fun fun with us, and now no other student will get to have her because she's moving to Chicago. I know we all don't want her to go, but we all will wish her a safe journey.
As for out of school plans, the US gym is closed starting Sunday for a week because of July Fourth. No workouts! During that week, so much ahs beein planned!! Including something that's not so happy. News

New news! The fifth grade just had there graduation ceremony. Two people broke school records. Ben L. for the mile (6:10 previous record 6:20) and Sung Jae for the shuttle run (8.5 seconds previous record 8.6 seconds). They also gave out a kindness award to Sam S. a Community Service award to Ben L. and the Mr. D award to Annabelle F. People in spirit club (announcements), chorus, band, and safety patrol got certificates in the classrooms.

Today in school is the poetry reading for 5B. We each have to choose a poem and read it aloud. Parents, sibling, and family members are welcome. To see all of 5B's poetry go to http://burkesbeatniks.blogspot.com. If you saw some of my other posts you'd already know what poems I wrote.

Half day today and tomorrow. Last day of school clap out for the fifth grade is tomorrow. Be there or be square!!!!

Hay Hay Hay

Hay again! So sorry there wasn't a post last night, things got a bit wild. But any way here's what it would've said.

Marie's party was totally awesome from the food to the prizes. There was a talent show where everyone had great talents.But Amanda won doing her gymnastics. Marie and Eva took second with beautiful singing and third went to Kathleen with her lovely dancing. Mrs.Burke and Mr.Harney came after the talent show had ended, but they were there in time to see who the winner was, Amanda.

Jason's graduation was "a horse of a different color". (Wizard of OZ) All the eighth graders were dressed in blue ropes (boys) and white robes (girls). It started off with speeches and singing. Then each person was called up to receive their "diploma". The teachers told everyone not to cheer for each individual, but of course the parents and siblings yelled for there son or brother while everyone else was quiet. To my surprise, people brought horns and cow bells to cheer their son on, a lot of people blew if for their son's friends.

Anyway back to today's early news. Today Jason doesn't have to go to school or tomorrow. Amanda is going today. She has the fifth grade awards "graduation" ceremony. Tomorrow is the clap out and moving up day. But because the fifth grade can't see their teachers, they are going to have a water balloon fight on the field.

Special School Report

In this special school report the fifth grade just finished tie dying. It was really fun and if you want to tie die too, here are the steps that the fifth grade used.

1. Take a white shirt that you own. (it can have writing on it)

2. Use rubber bands and either swirl it around your finger, push the shirt so it makes little folds, or you can just put rubber bands on randomly.

3. Take tie die dies and fill a bucket with red, blue and yellow dies.

4. Now dip your shirt into a color and wring out the excess water. If you want to make a secondary color (ex. purple) then you dip it in the blue die first, wring it out, then dip it in the red die and wring it out.

5. Then leave it on a fence to dry for at least an hour.

6. Wash it alone for the first wash. Then you can wash it with other clothes.

7. WEAR!!!!

Special Report

In this special in school report we will discuss what we're doing in school right now. At this moment 5B is working on publishing 4 poems to our teacher's blog (Burke's Beatniks). Since I already posted mine I decided to write a new post telling what we're doing and to give you my 4 poems that I wrote. You can see them at the end of this edition.

In other school events the 5th grade is tie dying today. They had rubber banded shirts a week before and was originally going to tie die them last Friday, but sadly it rained, so the rain date was Tuesday. It will be an interesting experience considering that there are 72 students tie dying at once.

No more school news for now but if you read the Early Bird edition you know that there will be a report after Amanda's graduation part and after Jason's actual graduation.

Schedules

Today will be a very hectic day. Amanda has a graduation party at her friend Marie's house and she has to go to her brothers graduation. She's missing gymnastics so she's upset, but she won't miss it again for a while.

Jason today has his graduation. It is also his last day of school. Amanda's last day of school is Thursday so shes very jealous.

The first follower was Amanda K. then her teacher Mrs.Burke. Amanda had sent an email to her teacher with the web address.

The family members that have seen the blog were Amanda's mom, grandma, grandpa and father. They all loved and thought it was genius.

KZ NEWSPAPER

This special mid-day report is on the making of this newspaper. Amanda K. has created a newspaper blog for her family, friends, and teachers to look at and get the latest scoops. Amanda's teacher, Mrs.Burke gave her the idea when she made another blog called Burke's Beatniks. Check it out sometime.

In other news Jason K. and Amanda K (brother & sister) are graduating Middle School (Jason) and Elementary School (Amanda). Amanda says, "I don't get what the big deal is, it's just Elementary!" Other words will be written as they arrive.
